Goodie Girl Expands Line of Naturally Gluten-Free Cookies Made with “just the right amount of wrong”
Natural Food Products Expo West, Booth #7313: Anaheim, CA., March 5, 2015—
Goodie Girl, producer of gluten-free treats made with “just the right amount of wrong,” will introduce a new snack-size product at Expo West. Goodie Girl Chocolate Chip Go-Paks are gluten-free cookies consumers can enjoy at their desks or on the go, now available in a convenient 1-oz pouch. Goodie Girl, founded by female entrepreneur and Tribeca resident Shira Berk, is a homegrown brand that got its start in a community bakery in Queens and is now headquartered in Ridgefield, NJ.
“We get so much great feedback from the people that eat our cookies – and one thing they have asked for is a snack-size version for the office, school lunches, and travel,” said Shira Berk, founder of Goodie Girl. So it’s an indulgence that you can feel good about.”
The new snack-size Go-Paks are a 1-oz, convenient take on Goodie Girl’s popular full-size Chocokate Chip cookies. Goodie Girl’s line of full-size products includes four additional flavors: Mint Cookies, Double Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, and Crunchy Toffee Chaos. In addition to being Certified Gluten-Free, Goodie Girl’s Chocolate Chip cookies are nut-free and made in a peanut-free facility.
According to Packaged Facts’ “Gluten-Free Foods in the U.S.” annual report, American gluten-free sales reached $973 million in 2014. The report predicts the market will increase by 140% to $2.34 billion by 2019.1
Goodie Girl’s 1-oz Chocolate Chip Go-Paks are available for national distribution immediately and will launch in a 6-count carton for grocery with a suggested retail price of $5.49. The 1-ounce Go-Paks will also be sold in a 12-pack point of purchase display box with a suggested retail price set at $1.25.
